The Salesman

The Salesman is a short story published in rez Magazine, July 2017. It links to some words in the Sand Bible. The Salesman was published at joomag.com – but to page through it you need Flash. At the end of the year 2020 Adobe will stop flash, so I uploaded the pages.

I have been asked what the book is about. Is it all Sand? What is the key message, what is my message to you, what is Sand, what is Sound? Is it Sane? A key message has to be short and coming to the point. Here is the key I offer you:

“To gain in the tsunami of data meaning.”

8sense: “King of the ostriches. I’ve lived so long with my head buried, I should be able to breath sand by now.”

Jan Morris: “A scent of jasmine and a rasp of sand.”

Rachel Carson: “In every outthrust headland, in every curving beach, in every grain of sand there is the story of the earth.”

Milton Friedman: “If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in 5 years there’d be a shortage of sand.”
